I bought a total of 4 lack tables from Ikea on our last San Fransisco trip in June, they are super cheap, I think they were $7.99 each. I needed four because I wanted to make a "bottom" for the tables, they are usually just a top and four legs (no bottom shelf). Super easy fix, first assemble the table as it shows, (screw in the four legs) then take the table and flip it over and take the top of the second table and in the pre-drilled holes for the top just screw in some long screws to attach it. Thats it you now have a bottom to your lack table.
I wanted to fansie mine up so I picked up some nail heads (it takes one pack for just the front) at Joannes. They didn't have the color I liked so I spray painted mine to my desired color with this..
Rust-oleum Metallic in Dark Bronze in this pic you can see the color, it is much better than what they used to be..
Here is shot at the painting process (just for fun)
After these were dry I got out my mallet and just went for it, here is how they turned out..
I think they look much better this way!
Here they are all finished in the living room (sneak peek at the pillows I have been making)
Notice the rug? I will be posting about that and the pillows soon, have a great day!
WOW! Those turned out so incredible and so expensive-looking! That whole room is absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly! They do look way more expensive than they are, only $19 bucks a piece!
